I'd recommend going with ViLayer's private hive. It's the largest DayZ private hive and offers the same character persistence that you get on the public hive. The hacker population is far lower and Admins are not restricted by the normal DayZ red tape when it comes to banning them. Plus you have the ability to change your server between Chernarus, Lingor, Utes, and Takistan anytime you want.
