How many slots do weapons take up in the backpack?

Recommended Posts

Title says all.

I killed some guy today who had a 50cal and I wanted to throw my primary weapon into my backpack and take the 50cal. I have do this before but I was never sure how many slots a primary weapon takes up in the backpack. Since my pack is full I would have to empty some of it out first and wanted to be 100% on this before I did it.

Coyote Pack

Primary weapon - m1014

If i'm not mistaken, 5 for pistols, 10 for everything else, I could be wrong tho.

Coyote pack only has 8 slots doesnt it? Unless you got the epic 24 slot version, thats probably why it didnt fit, had you had an ALICE pack or something like that, prehaps it would have fit.

No, the regular Coyote pack has 24 slots. It is the Coyote Patrol Pack that has 8 slots.

I have the 24 slot. The issue is not the bag it is how many slots does the weapon take up. Going from first post than 10 seems about right. Will have to test further.

When you move your gun, your ammo goes with it, sometimes it goes first taking some of the 10 slots you need, and then your gun tries to move to a place that it won't fit, then the backpack eats it forever.
