Passing Out & Alt + F4ing

Recommended Posts

When an in-game character dies, Alt+F4ing doesn't make a difference - the gear is now on the dead body and lootable for whoever wants it.

I was wondering if it would help prevent people from disconnecting if when they passed out, the body would be in a similar state as a dead one but it becomes lootable and the player can be revived or recover as they can now but if the player logs out, the character 'actually dies'.

The only problem with this that I can think of is telling the difference between dead and simply unconscious players - for this an extra scroll-bit can be added to the interaction menu to 'check for pulse' etc. (I think this may be similar to some other Arma2 mods such as ACE). After discovering that the player is dead you can check their body to see how they died or if they're still alive you can use Epinephrine/bandages/whatever medical equipment floats your boat on them.

Hopefully this suggestion will stop combat loggers and if I haven't explained my idea clearly enough feel free to let me know and I'll try and explain it better.

R3con.
