Spawning In a random Open Field

Was wondering if this happen to anyone else other then me? I logged off to get something to bite when I tried returning to the server I spawned in a random open field with 4 people surrounding me static and I had the same health and what not but no gear at all. It's happen to me twice now and I was wondering if anyone knew why? if its server side or just a bug?

Yeah, it kinda sucked because I found my first heli crash and I had 2 Bizons and 2 FN fal NV scoped rifles =( lol

I am afraid that this is not a bug but a hacker teleporting players and killing them just for fun. It had happened to me immediately after login and to a friend of mine while he has been running across the map minding his own business. I haven't seen more hackers friendly game than DayZ regardless beta/alpha/stable stage - unbelievable.
