Make every server its own hive?

I'm just wondering what you guys would think if in standalone, or even in the next mod version, every server was made into a private hive. All of your gear stays with you on that server.

I made this thread so of course I support it. No server hopping, ghosting, switching to day servers when night comes. I already only play on private hive servers anyway. What do you guys think?

That's true. The idea does have its flaws.

Sometimes I want to play on just one server as to not make progress on my main char while friends are offline.

Private hives also allow to have different playstyles and char builds on the go at the same time.

While the normal servers have the security of being able to take your progress between servers.

SO... both. Make private hives and mods of the mod accepted and supported while having the normal hive too.

Idea with good intention but I think but right now we have the best of both worlds. I personnaly never play on private hive, but those that do can, and those that dont want to, also can.

yep. I've already lost a few servers that I had tents and the locations of people's tents/vehicles

I think servers being full would be a problem as well. it's not bad now because you can go somewhere else if your normal server is full. but if everyone was committed to a single server, it would be less flexible, and I think many times you'd be stuck waiting for someone to leave

and honestly it might get boring playing with the same people all the time. the way it is now offers a lot of unpredictability
