Random death followed by other issues.

Searched the forums and found similar problems to what I've experienced, but nothing exactly the same. I've found no answer, so I figured I'd explain my situation and hope for an answer.

I logged of the server I was playing so that I could join a friend's server. I logged in and it said I died right after the load (did not bring up the YOU HAVE DIED screen though). Instead of respawning me, I stayed there on the ground where I logged in. I still had 10k blood, not bleeding, no shock, no broken bones. I could still move equipment around in my packs. I could switch weapons, but it would not do the animation since my body was stuck in the death pose.

Note - I the servers were updated, I did not alt-f4, I did not log out in a vehicle or building. I was in a clearing. I was not red-linked and I even stayed in my spot for 30 seconds before the initial logout.

Back to the after-death issue. So, I tried logging in a different server. I died immediately and had the same situation (no death screen or gender selection). Tried yet another server. Died immediately and spawned into debug wilderness with 4 other people seemingly stuck. This time I lost all gear (not even flashlight). Consecutive server tries do the same thing and spawn me in random places yet I still can not control my char. He is always stuck in a death pose.

And no, it will not let me click the respawn or anything. Just sitting there stuck :\

The same thing just happened to me. I logged in to the server I had been playing on earlier in the day, and when I got into game the server message stating that I had died appeared. I also did not get the death screen after the countdown, but assumed it had something to do with lag (FPS not latency). I logged into a different server to start again, but I didn't get the character creation screen. Instead was back where I logged in and "died." Still had full health, was still able to eat and use items in my inventory, but I was immobile and sprawled out like a corpse.

I've died enough to where that doesn't bother me much (even though I mostly die to bugs). It frustrates me to no end that I cannot respawn. It's as if my character is in permanent limbo.

When it happened to me, I had previously logged out with full health, no broken limbs, not in shock, not being shot at, and there weren't even any zombies around to have aggro.

On a whim, I logged in to see what else I could do despite being "dead." The Map worked fine, switching clothes (from camo to ghillie) just made my character swap skins then fall over. When I bandaged myself, however, I magically sprung back to my feet. I don't even think it consumed the bandage. It sounds like, on top of the new annoying death issue, you got the old death on login issue too, where you lose all items, including your backpack. If you happen to have a bandage, try using that to see if you are revived as well.
