Where are all the players?

Back in my day, every server available was full because we had only about 300 of them worldwide and thousands of people playing. Now It's hard to find a full server at all. Most servers have under 5 players. It's kinda lonely. I'm not a PKer, I just miss the thrill of being able to die at any moment. It's not even scary to go to Cherno anymore. :(

We need fewer servers! :D

according to my dayz commander (admittedly with filters) that just isn't true.
