Losing 10 blood per second! HELP!

I'm losing 10 blood a second and I won't stop! I have applied six bandages and received a blood transfusion. This has been going on for about 10 or so. What is happening, and how do I stop it?

You are starving or thirsting to death. Get food or drink, or both. Either that or you have an infection and need antibiotics, though those are exceedingly rare. I think an infection only brings you down to a certain point though.

Or you're getting this UI bug where you can't see if you are starving or thristing, it only shows completely green forever. Change it back and forth in your game options and it'll work again.
