Cherno

Recommended Posts

I was bored by the woods, so I went to Cherno, met some survivors, and killed them.

So you work hard getting your gear, trying to do... what, exactly? If you want some action, just head to the nearest city. It won't take long. You don't require top gear. A Lee Enfield is probably enough.

Then you can stalk other players and have fun with PvP. Or you can try making contact in various ways, getting them to do stuff under the threath of death. Or you can find a wire fence, or something, and troll a bit, create some bottle necks, shoot and miss on purpose, aim for the legs, or do whatever you like. Hell, you can even try to climb the bell tower without getting shot. It's all for the kicks and giggles anyway. :D

And in fact, if you have anything more valuable, you'll probably just feel bad when you finally fuck up and loose it, albeit it makes the trip into town a helluva lot more exciting. Having better gear is only really worth is up North, when you need to get serious with the clans. Otherwise, it's a waste of time (unless you only plan on grief-sniping) - especially in the city.

The city's for two things: Having fun tro-lo-lolling, or getting basic civ gear fast. That's all.

The readers with keen eyes will see that, while there are story elements in the original post, the main point of the post is actually a suggestion to those of you who wonder about what to do with all that fancy gear you harvested on those low pop servers. I'm guessing that point was totally lost on Lid here, and thus it might be lost on some lurkers as well, so I thought this clarification might be in order.

Here it is: If you've got tons of gear and you're affraid to loose it all, then dump it in a tent, and head towards a city to have some real fun, player versus player, or troll versus victim, or however you'd like to go about it.
