How do i turn onn a flashlight? i have it in my secondary but i cant turn it onn

I'm pretty sure its L key, I changed it though so might not be.

If the L key doesn't work, look at the ground and try it. For some reason, the L key doesn't work when your FPS drops too low...

Also sometime you have to select it with the "F" key to get it to work. Especially when you first spawn

You have to put the flashlight in your secondary weapon slot and press "L"

You cannot have a sidearm, if you have a pistol or PDW equipped you wot be able to equip it, but as long as you sidearm slot is empty you have to right click on the flashlight, select 'remove from belt' to equip it as your "sidearm" then switch to it from your primary weapon and THEN hit 'L' and it should work.

Shame on the rest of you for giving him inaccurate/incomplete or un-helpful responses.

1. Remove sidearm from sidearm slot (requires five slots in backpack, for instance - and mind the extra place needed for your ammo, lest you risk loosing it too).
   
2. Right click the torch, and click "remove from toolbelt". It will now appear in the sidearm slot.
   
3. Press L.
   

Some weapons already have a torch on them, like the G17 sidearm, Remington 870 and the M4A3 CCO. In that case, just press L when you equip that weapon.

it's always worth checking through your keybindings via the Arma menu. It'll look a bit confusing to start with but just check the relevant keys if you can't find what you need.

Sometimes you have to make a step forward, to kinda put the flashlight up in front of you. Sometimes that thing is working pretty messed up.
