disorder 344 Posted September 9, 2012 Ok so the buildings on the arma2 maps can be destroyed, sometimes by grenades or explosions. On our server the north hospital in cherno has been totally wiped out and is just a pile of rubble.(I dont even know how I think it got bugged) I know we have a second one, but it just got me thinking that the destruction and repair of buildings could add another tactical element.I'm not sure if the game/code can repair buildings unless the whole server is restarted, but it would be great if you could get various items (toolbox, entrenching tools, shovels etc) and then repair a building with other players. Deer Stands could also be constructed out of wood parts. The repair would work in the same way as vehicle repair, with different parts like stone blocks taking up different space. Well that's it, I'd love to see some sort of construction maybe in standalone. (PS if you TLDR this, your fucking attention span is too short. Try reading a book for once and stop using twitter)Have a nice day!
Mayuyu 411 Posted September 9, 2012 Hey! Buildings can be destroyed by satchel charges!Rebuilding a whole building would take too much time and thus isn't exactly something worth putting in the game. I'd imagine you'd get killed a lot trying to do so. But building things like deer stands could be cool!

For example it takes a few seconds to fill a jerry can but longer to empty it.It can be as easy as getting a concrete chunk, standing near the building and choosing repair and waiting a few seconds.
