Is Devil's castle a popular looting place?

So a friend of mine wants to set up a camp on Devil's Castle and I said it was a bad idea to make a camp on a place where loot spawns but I have never been to Devil's Castle so what do I know.... So is it a place where people usually goes to?

It's a bad place to set up shot because it's a major landmark. People tend to gravitate to landmarks and the likelihood of your camp being found is high.

i've been there a couple times on low-pop servers, but don't see the appeal aside from the fact that theres a ton of open fields around it so that any approach would be spotted fairly easy making it a sniper's wet dream.

I've found quite a few camps around that area, and if I'm not mistaken, that's one of the places where the heli can spawn. Any vehicle spawn is a dangerous place to make a camp.

Not much surprises to be found except a nice view from a high spot. Good place to setup up with a sniping buddy on hihgh-population servers. However, since it's far north, you won't see many folks pass through.

On a loot point of view, you won't find anything special.

yeah, but if you're looking out by yourself, you can't cover every angle.
