Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

So lets start, Randomly while playing DayZ my screen freezes, Goes black for a couple seconds, Then I get the error message right above my 'Show hidden icons' button. It says "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". This happens randomly and there is no pattern.

Computer specs:

-HP PAVILION

-8GB DDR3 RAM

-1TB HD

-AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHZ EDITION

-AMD ATHLON II X3 425 PROCESSOR

probably gpu overheating. try monitoring temps while ingame with gpu-z

I have been monitoring them, but not with gpu-z. It is usually when it reaches 45-60C. When I put everything on medium settings it doesn't happen and my gpu is at about 30C. (My idle is 26C) Edited September 9, 2012 by jwc17
