Versions wont update

So me and my friend want to play on a server he plays on a lot, unfortunately it has not been updated recently but it is still playable. i cannot find it via DayZ commander but the ingame browser picks it up. Initially it will say 'bad server, rejected connection' and in the corner it says my version is 1.62 and i need 1.62.95417. I then downgraded to that patch but it still thinks i have 1.62

any help would be appreciated
