Server process failure

Recommended Posts

Our hosting solution had two instances in the server log today that indicated a server failure or "process failure" as it said. There was a window of more than 12 hours between the server restarts.

Does anyone have an idea of what might have caused this? I guess we will have to ask the server provider, but I thought I should just air the issue and maybe get some relevant feedback as to how this could have happened.

Afaik, this is the first time such a failure has occurred with the rented server in the time I have been playing (3-4 weeks).

Update to beta patch 96751 (http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php)

more stability fixes

quite some crashfixes included, some debug traps for tracked issues

several other betas regressions shall be fixed too

suggested to be used for server hosting as it shall be noticeably stabler

(if you still get any crashes, it's very important for us to get server's mdmp, bidmp, rpt files

(compressed e.g. to my email (which is my nickname @ bistudio.com)with subject CRASH)

Thank you!

I was piloting a helicopter when the server crashed. Luckily, the helicopter was found where we last landed, in one piece but without fuel as expected. We never really landed there, because I was hovering over the ground at that location. Glad it did not just burst into flames or something like that.
