Microphone issue

Hey - wonder if you guys can help me.

I normally play with a friend and we communicate via Steam voice chat. I use the ALT key for push to talk. Both our mics work great for this.

However when I try and talk in-game with CAPS key, my mic doesn't seem to work. I've tried the DC comms channel (and all the others). The little microphone icon appears when I push CAPS as does my name - although I've not noticed my name appearing when using Direct comms - just the other two.

My friend is able to use CAPS to speak in game and I can hear him - so it can't be the Steam chat causing the problem.

I've checked my audio settings in ARMA2 and have the microphone volume set to max.

Anyone have any suggestions?

maybe the new patch caused some server setting to go default and turn that sh!t off ?

so i just joined another server, i can hear people talk etc but they cant hear nor see my direct chat. same with my 2 other friends.
