Mad Z

It has mutated

Recommended Posts

Well, it seems that the sickness brought on by low temperature in DayZ has mutated? What has changed?

You can catch sickness at any temperature now it seems. I was running around the NWAF and was exiting the last barracks, when I heard coughing. I assume it is the stream I am watching, but upon further inspection, my blood is indeed dropping. It seems I have managed to become sick while there was no rain, I was moving around, no one else was nearby, had a normal temperature, and had even applied a heat pack 10 minutes prior to free up inventory space.

So just a warning to everyone out there, carry some antibiotics, I've never had this bullshit happen to me before this update.

Dead bodies?

Only bodies around were zombies, I wasn't aware they can get you sick.

Mfw sickness has always been caused by weather and temperature, not zombie attacks, in DayZ

Really? I've played this game for 3 months, sickness has always existed, I've only caught it from swimming to Skalisty, since when have zombies been able to infect you?

^you're right

Memory blank, however I do believe the chance to do so is very rare?

edit: Are you sure you weren't attacked by a zombie around the time the infection started?

Cause that would explain it.

100% sure temperature wasn't the cause. No rain the entire 45 minutes I played, ran around the entire time, even used a heat pack to make room for loot minutes before it happened.

I have gotten sick from zombie hits. It happens. You can spread it too I think.

Time to troll some fresh spawn on the coast I guess.

Ive played over 400 hours of this game and yet to be "sick" once. I thought it was so rare it was an irrelevant part of the game. Ive had low temperatures alot because I mostly play night time servers, but I take heat packs whenever my temperature is looking low, so maybe the heatpacks make a difference.

False.

You could always get an infection from being hit by a zombie.

Just a very low chance.
