"Wrong CD Key"

I recently updated to the latest patch 1.7.2.6, and I started having some problems when I tried to update the latest ARMA 2 OA patch, which is 96585. I've been doing everything I can to fix it, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Could this be a result of CD Key theft? Or is this just something wrong with my DayZ?

CDkey theft because you updated your patch? Hardly think so, try reinstalling the game.

I had this issue when I tried to launch Arma II in Steam. After reinstalling everything I realized I wasn't running steam as admin and thus the game did not have the proper permission but it only gave the error of 'invalid cd key'.

Not sure if it's the same issue you are having but give it a shot.

Why would anyone say "could it be CD key theft" when everyone knows the ONLY way to get your CD Key stolen is to download that certain software mentioned by the Battleye in-game message ?

So, it is reasonable to suspect that the OP has at some point downloaded this cheating software and is crying delicious, salty cheater tears.
