problems with lauching

i have srs problems with lanching the game (dayz)

im using arma2 free + oa. i dont remember when this whole thing started but it was around 1,7.2.4 patch. i deal with it but with this new patch 1.7.2.6 lauching time is terrible i have no idea what to do with that

1st of all sometimes i try to lauch the game and nothing happens. i have a process of arma2oa.exe (with around only 5MB memory taken) and nothing is happening. i need 2 lauch game 2nd time and its lanching immidietly. sometimes 2nd process will start up aswell and i have 2x arma2oa.exe or sometimes one is crashing and i have some error about it.

when i lauch only one process game sometimes lanching for like 5 minutes which is kinda stupid so im forced to lauch 2nd process

i came here because now when im trying to connect the server it takes ages

i dont have best PC but its not wooden

6core amd phenomII 1100T

8gb of ram with very good timings

2x 6870 radeon

basicly i have 0 problems with other games and ofc when game started i have plenty of FPS when im running arma2 only, dayz or any other mod

i tried to lauch game with shortcut and steam

by basic shortcut looks like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -skipIntro -mod=@DayZ -cpucount=6 -world=empty -maxmem=4096 -winxp

but i tried without all thoose parameters aswell and its the same

i also tried dayzcommader and six launcher

any ideas ????

If nothing is happening and you have arma20a process open sounds to me like it could be a corrupt file or something. Im sure you have tried rebooting your computer and trying again so what i would do is Verify integrity of Cache of both games, arma and CO.

After that run each game individually and only after you have successfully run both install arma 2 beta patch and dayz with dayzcommander.

P.s: Using arma 2 free you need to copy the addons folder from the arma 2 free to arma 2 operation arrowhead folder otherwise youre going to see errors about missing files and stuff.

im playing dayz for like couple months and this problem exist since 1.7.2.4 i think not sure when that started. the thing is yeah ive tried reboting system. i have copy of addon files otherwise i wouldnt be able to play at all. i will try to verify integrity of cache only when i find that option. can u give me a tip how to do that ?

update. i think i found it on steam i will try

With Steam open and your library showing, right click on Arma 2 and hit properties, go to the Local Files Tab and click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" and let it do its thing. Do the same for Operation arrowhead. Most likely it will say a file was downloaded or something. Run both games individually, exit them and then proceed to install the beta patch and dayz and should be all good.

arma2 OA - 1 file

still lanching time is kinda long like 1-2 minutes after opening shortcut but game after that loads immidietly
