I got a email about "DayZ Package MAJOR UPDATE & DayZTakistan "

I dont see a link to download the update files.

The "DayZTakistan" part tells me the email is either fake or is about something not official, hence you would be asking in the wrong forum.

Exactly what erocker said. It sounds like a fake email at worst or an unsupported unofficial custom modification to the DayZ codebase at best.

Download the DayZ 1.7.2.6 files from this website (Dayzmod.com) and download the Hive 0.7.4 files from the link provided to you in the mass email that went out yesterday to all DayZ server admins. If you lease a shared game server (control panel access only) instead of an unmanaged server, then you'll just have to talk to your host for the updates.
