Audio headphones setup

Recently bought some gaming headphones with a mic and was intrested to know everybodys opinion on setup? My question being i used steam to talk to friends whilst playing the other day, but the quality was very poor and plus its difficult to hear the in game sounds etc ( ive played around with volumes also), so i was intrested to how everybody else plays and talks comfortably. Or is steam chat just poor and use skype??

Skype is horrid get Teamspeak 3 there's free dayz servers on there and it's free to download. Works better and low bandwidth!

use skype or teamspeak. steam is just horrible for in game voice chat.

skype isn't that bad...we usually have 5 people always on skype playing and it works flawlessly.

I have issues with skype eating bandwidth and causing system crashes I hate it.

+1 for skype but i have used Ventrio and Mumble in the past and they all work great. However for dayz most of the guys i play use it so i kind of had to.
