how is a tent in the forest cheating? The game has them, your stupid for not using the feature of the game to there fullest. (as long as your not cheating by duping)

Since most active servers get wiped regular, the massive storage horders get f'ed in the a anyway, right?

Hoarding sucks when it keeps others from getting something.

Hoarding five cars and a heli is weird. because noone needs such a huge amount of vehicles and others can get no car.

On the other hand we have equipment. Pilling up equipment doesn't reduce other peoples available equipment so I am fine with that. In fact I found my first ghillie-rangefinger-nv collection in a lost tent in the wood, long before I dared to enter the airfields.

But honestly, I see not much use in hoarding equipment. Gimme a M1911, a Winchester 1866, axe, knife and matches and I am fine. I can get all of that in Cherno within 10 to 30 minutes. Hoarding would make sense for Ghillie, NV and M4SD but not much else.

I agree that hardly anyone needs the use of 5 cars and a heli. But everyone can use everyone else not being able to use 5 cars and a heli.

Why the hell should should people let vehicles sit around for others to use against them? At the very minimum, you drive them someplace useless where they're difficult to recover (this does not have to mean driving them off the map)

As for hoarding gear in tents, true, you're not really denying that gear over the long term to others. However you're providing for resupply of yourself and your friends without having to "get it in Cherno in 10 to 30 minutes". Running around in Cherno for half an hour is just plain idiotic if you can make simple preparations to skip it.

It is just plain irrational to expect others to leave vehicles sitting around for you to use. It's also irrational to expect them to voluntarily run around in the city on a regular basis.

I seriously hope I'm not stuck some place with you in an emergency some day. You're clearly "that guy", you know, the one that everyone would probably be better off shooting immediately. Luckily for us, we have this option in-game.

Two weeks to get a map? i started playing today and got one in half hour but just luck i guess,this game does seem very big so can understand why would be hard to find certain stuff.

Agreed, people still want this game to be "Walking Dead" where the zeds are the real threat. Unfortunately, it's not like that and people are the real threat. I'm not leaving anything around that someone else could use, even if that means purposefully destroying or "losing" them. I play lone wolf and I shoot on sight, no questions asked. Don't care if you shout friendly or not. I steal and destroy vehicles I can't use and I loot then run over tents in camps. Deal with it.

To be honest, I love horders. On my "home" server they get me geared up with all pimp ( legal aka no hacked guns ) stuff very fast.

I don't think anyone hates people that acquire and store gear.

But people do hate people that horde more vehicles than they need or can actually use.

Bolded for emphasis. This is the major complaint among players. Me personally, I never see a need for a clan/squad to have more than 3 vehicles, in any situation. Generally, you'll only take the one that fits everybody anyway, as to not put more than one vehicle at risk of being stolen, or shot/blown up.

As I am mostly a loner that lives in the woods I love the tent guys, I sweep past take just what I may need at the time (normally swap my empty water bottles with full) then i leave, never destroy the camps (unless clearly hacked) thats like crapping on my own dinner plate

um what about if you need to split up for a tactical advantage Ex. snipers take one vehicle to take the high ground medics take one vehicle assault/support go in vehicle and scouts take atvs bikes and motorcycles Edited September 10, 2012 by dinoSF
