I downloaded 1.4 but it's not letting me join any servers, is this still valid to launch the game via Steam?

I doubt you'll get any support here, considering DayZ Staff doesn't support Lingor Island, therefor they won't help with Lingor Island problems.

Take it over to Lingor Island's website's forums if they have any if you want an answer. If they don't have any forums, then just ask on a YouTube installation guide.
