Why do i still look like a bandit?

Ok so long story short, i used to be a sniper for a little while but i died. About -8000 humanity. Then the update came supposedly taking away the humanity/bandit skin or whatever, if im not mistaken ( I may be). When i respawn i still have my negative humanity and still look like a bandit(scarf thing). After some time i morph into a survivor and my humanity goes to 0. but when i come back later to play in another server im a bandit with negaitve humanitya again...what is going on here? Someone please enlighten me.

because now im a target! lol and i want to be a survivor, its how ive played most of the time. A hero skin would be sweet!

Id like to think there is still hope...hope that the game will one day be cooperative again, like it was when it first came out. Or at least a bit less COD than what it is now. I wish I could play the game not as a shooter, but as a place where team efforts and coordination for survival are a must. Where survivors and heros unite in order to survive, and to kill bandits that cross their path. Not a place where peoples arms are derived from hackers and/or duping weapons. Excuse me im just dreaming here :) Dont mind me.
