Vehicle destroyed in the morning

Hey Guys,

Me and my friends from clan TUA have been enjoying the DayZ mod for a few weeks. Awesome concept and great fun.

However, every time when we find a nice vehicle (or several), drive it to a "safe" hiding location somewhere in the woods and set up a little base camp its all blown up when we log in again the next morning. First we thought, ok... damn griever came by and messed with our stuff and broke our toys like the childish baby he is (personally I would never destroy somebody's tent but just write down the coords and come back for supplies when im in the neighbourhood). But after a while we are starting to see a tend. Because it does not matter where we park our stuff, every time its blown up when we log in the next day. Yesterday it happened again. We had been fixing a chopper we found on "the island" all night (as we have never been able to aquire one) and when I was the last to log out on the server (at 2:30am) it just needed some scrap metal to be able to fly without fuel leaks. So this morning I logged in again, 6 hours later, and the chopper has exploded.

Can anybody tell me if it is server related (like a reset of vechiles or something) or is it just lame script kiddies who pop on, teleport to all big vehicles and blow em up to spoil the fun of the hardworking players.

It would be nice to work on a project for several days instead of loggin in the next day and being demotivated.....

Switch server id say. Could be a few things maybe the admin dosent want u to have his vehicles? Unless its your own server

this is common and all part of the game. Stop getting attached to things..remember there are other people out there who want nothing more than to subvert work that other people do; that is part of their experience. You need to stop looking at vehicles as something you can save and enjoy them when you have them. That way youll never be dissapointed

It's difficult to say. A week or two ago I logged on to my server to find every vehicle on the map blown up, most of which were still at their spawn location since the server was just restarted hours before (and vehicle saving was pooched). I'm not talking "the ones at my camp", I'm talking top to bottom, left to right. Every vehicle spawn I encountered was exploded. Either a hacker used some "kill all vehicles" hack or teleported around and knocked them out.

This isn't to say it would be impossible for a player to do this, but the window of time available and how long it would take to run all over the entire map doing this don't match up. So, I'd say it's a possibility a hacker is doing this. But, there's no way to know for sure. Hacker or not, I think I'd switch servers at this point if I were you.

We have taken this in advice and started our own server today :) NL-100 Powered by TUA :P
