Gaining Humanity without doing good deeds

Recommended Posts

I have yet to kill any players nor have I helped any, but my humanity level is at 4750 and seems to go up without me even noticing it. Is it a glitch or did I miss other ways that you can gain humanity beyond 2500? I kill my fair share of zombies...

I got 15K ATM....I have given 1 transfusion and 1 bandage....nothing more. I have however killed 500 zombies....so maybe there is a zombie killing - humanity link.

You gain humanity over time, up until 2500.

And when you change your skin, you "start at 0", but it does stack with the previous 2500 (and other 2500's from before).

Thus, by just playing the game and changing skins often, you will be a hero.

Killing zombies gives you nothing.

You automatically gain a bit of humanity over time (About 30 per minute) until you reach 2500. You don't replenish humanity by killing bandits or zombies. You only get more humanity replenished when you bandage, morphine or blood bag a player. As a side note, injuring players and shooting others will drop your humanity significantly (Not as much as murder). Interestingly enough, pellet shots at players drops your huanity the most due to the fact that that many shots came from one bullet.

How do you change skins?

My characters seem to start on 2500 but obviously never goes up as I have never changed skins and reset it to 0

So I still don't really understand... I have 4600 humanity carried over from my last life. I've never helped or even spoken to another player but killed hundreds of zombies, I changed skin to a gillie suit last life which I assume therefore raised my humanity from 2500 to 4600, does that sound right?

I killed one player, was awarded a bandit kill which didn't affect my humanity. Also. when I changed skin I kept my civilian clothing, does this mean I could have changed back and forth between the two sets to raise my humanity?

This is right. If you change skins your humanity sets to 0 and then fills up gradually over time until you change skins again or disconnect. If you disconnect, whatever you have gained since changing skins and playing will be added to whatever your humanity total was before.
