Do you have to fully download Arma II and arrowhead before you can start downloading the DayZ client?

So i havent finshed downloading arrow head, but when i try to download the clients for DayZ it gets close to finshing but stops... It doesnt freeze but it doesnt progress either..

im not flipping out about it because it could be an easy fix..

And dayz installs into the Arrow head folder so i guess it needs to be finished. just be patient ;)

DayZ uses the engine from ARMA 2 and the items from Operation Arrowhead (I think, tech-heads welcome to correct me), So you must run each game once for DayZ to play.

I don't think it's essential to run them before installing DayZ, but if you use DayZ commander or Six Launcher/Updater then it will look for the ARMA OA folder to create your "@DayZ" folders in, if the ARMA 2 OA folder doesn't exist for the launchers to put the sub directory in it might cause issues.

Best to follow one of the many online guides and do it in the recommended order using DayZ commander as DayZ is a bitch to install and play, even to those of us who have been playing it a very long time :)
