Dragonslayer2 (DayZ) 3 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) My ping skyrockets as I enter a server lobby, this is really strange since in the server browser in Dayzcommander and ingame it says that the server has a low ping for me, but once i enter the server lobby, it skyrockets to 500ms 1000ms etc. This happens on every server.This just happend after reinstalled Dayzcommander and updated to the newest patches.Example: I open DayZcommander, i see a list of servers all under 60 ms, I connect to the server and as i enter the server lobby my ping suddenly increases to 500 and 700's ms. Yes, I am not downloading anything, but its really strange since commander says my ms should be fine.Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this a problem caused by BattlEye?Please help guys!!!! Make sure BE is up to date, check your firewall (maybe try turning it off while playing), maybe try different OA beta patch versions (don't know you version), stop downloading porn while playing.Maybe check this thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/72005-high-ping-1000/Hope it helps you! slartibartfast (DayZ) 77 Posted September 5, 2012 I had this issue.Rather than turning your firewall completely off, which is an extraordinary bad idea. Configure it so that arma2 oa and commander have 'Full' access to the interweb thing.This dropped my ping to servers by 50% and more on some.You don't tell us if you are trying local servers either, you should maybe stay close, geographically, to your home for server log ins.
