Beta Patch Issues

Recommended Posts

Okay let's get straight to the point.

When I join 1.60 (Arma 2 version) servers they work, but when I join any of the beta patches it doesn't work.

Yes the mod is installed properly, yes I installed the beta patch properly, and yes I have the right launch options on it ( -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash -winxp -maxmem=2047 -cpuCount=4)

I used the DayZ mod installer just in case, but no luck.

I'm a Steam user and went through this guy's tutorial. (http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10370)

It doesn't kick me out because of a different version, because that is not the problem, the problem is that whenever I login to beta servers it says this while trying to spawn: You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip etc.

Redownload DayZ through the main website instead.

But it works forthe 1.6.0 patch' date=' but not the beta patch..

I'm going to do it now and see if it works.

[hr']

No luck, I downloaded it off the website and still nothing.

The beta patch doesn't load DayZ?

Strange. Here is what I did:

• Backed up the original Arma2OA.exe and renamed it Legit Old Arma2OA.exe

• Went into Expansion/Beta and copied Arma2OA.exe and dragged it into the OA Folder

• Set my launch options to a custom fit.

-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@dayz -maxmem=8192 -world=empty -cpuCount=4

• Ran OA as Combined Operations.

This makes the beta patch and DayZ work for me, but you need to manually update the Arma2OA.exe every time there is a new beta patch.

-snip-

EXACTLY what I did, and it still doesn't load DayZ

I'll try removing -winxp

EDIT: Removing -winxp improved my FPS, but still not loading DayZ....

Followed this exactly. Started the game and in the top right I see:

I assume this means success?
