Can people get banned for duping? And how do they get caught?

I've been thinking, and I know you can get Global ban from hacking/scripting. But can/will you get a global ban from duping, and how does rocket/BattlEye catch dupers? Or can they?

P.S. What about duping from tents? By accident or on purpose? Can you receive a ban for that too?

no... you can't be banned for that. It's their fault the exploit is there. You're not hacking you're using the exploit that's put into the game. No one also states that it's illegal. By that logic you could get banned for getting off your broken bike and back on which repairs it. It's an exploit.

Duping of any sort is a exploitable glitch in the games system. This can be considered by looking at tents, vehicles, "False Players", or any other means. You cannot, and will not, be banned by Battleye for any reason regarding these game glitches. As it is, tents and vehicles gear cannot be properly saved, so even if you tried to be a "good boy" and save over you taking gear from tents, it would not work. On some servers, douche admins might ban you for duping, however, this is also not allowed and admins caught doing so will have their server blacklisted. In short, you are protected from being banned for these errors in the games programming.

From the way you have worded your post, it sounds like you are interested in duping but are worried about consequences. So to ease your mind....dupe away, there are no consequences other than possibly taking away some of the more rewarding challenges of the game.
