Good loot in deer stand on US 2973

The deer stand located here: http://dayzdb.com/map#4.019.043 has an AK-74 Kobra with 9 mags in it. Found an M4A3 CCO with four mags, so my old gun's available for the taking.

It's up to you to decide if you want it, but for all the people who think it's worth it, feel free to head up there. Could be great for a base assault weapon, for all of you camphunters out there. Don't know what that means, but it sounds tactical.

(No, I'm not there anymore, I moved on to north side of the map)

Anyone know how long a weapon placed on the ground like this will stay for? I know they will be removed on the next restart, but is there a time to live for dropped items?

It's the same for all loot and helicopters, but vehicles stay where they are regardless of restarts.
