Simple.The zombies in this series are scary and they are the best of both worlds of zombies.They are Dead/Alive, they Run and shamble and they need the classic head shot to put them down.They are the best zombies for a standalone dayz ever! Because they are scary/fast/slow and take head shots to kill. The books also contains allot of info most people just don't think about. Like how the infected could spread stuff like that.
