JeremyLeroy96 0 Posted September 3, 2012 I play Day Z with two other friends. It seems that I (only me) get sent back to the coast quite a bit. I have all my gear when it happens but it has happened at least 6 times now.One of my friends got sent to the debug plains (whatever you wish to call it), and respawned with absolutely no gear (not even starter gear), but he still had his ghillie suit on.I was just curious if other people had this issue too, the game is in alpha so it's not really like I can get mad about it, but was just curious if there is anything I can do to prevent it from happening. Thanks in advance. Man vs Wild 313 Posted September 3, 2012 Do you get stuck at loading too? I think when you close dayz when its loading you get sent back to the coast
Ipurgepeople 106 Posted September 3, 2012 If you get stuck on a loading screen, close the game via task manager, and try to log in again, you'll spawn on the coast with your stuff. The way to prevent this is when you get stuck on Loading Screen of Death you need to open a second copy of arma, and try a different server. Once that one is fully logged into the game, close the first one.The prevailing theory behind this is that when you are loading you are sent to debug plains/forest/whatever while it waits to retrieve your last known coordinates. While you're stuck there if you log out, your last known coordinates become debug plains. This means when you try to log in again, the game sees your last loc as off the playable map area, and it then spawns you on the coast with all your gear as per the patch notes of 1.7.2.5. Gary055 1 Posted September 3, 2012 This happened to everyone and is still happening to people apparently. Try joining same version/build servers.

Others I get black screen "loading" which never ends. I always close it with task manager. Thanks for the work around!

Thanks for the work around!Well, sometimes it isn't that you're stuck on the black screen that says "Loading" and it just takes a long time. I remember when I first started it would take me about 10+ minutes on the loading screen to get into a majority of servers I tried. The last few patches they've really optimized the loading process so that it's much, much quicker. Even so, on some of the private hives it occasionally will take 10-15 minutes to load in when they're near to full. Once you're in-game though everything works fine.Basically, what I'm trying to say is that it might not be that the server doesn't work (especially if there's a bunch of players on it) but simply that it has very long load times.
