Nighttime graphical bug

So whenever I play on servers during nighttime, everything is pure silhouette. Even if there are a bunch of stars, and even if I turn the gamma ALL the way up, everything is still pitch black. All the trees in the distance, the ground in front of me, everything. It's dumb as hell. Is there a fix for this? Cause I'd really like to play at nighttime sometimes.
