Precious 0 Posted September 2, 2012 Hey, I just found a camp and I have to decide between a DMR with a lot mags and an AS50 with only 1 Mag. I´m kinda new into banditing, especially sniping and I'd wanted to know if the DMR is oneshot against players. And what would you recommend? The AS50 or the DMR for me? Man vs Wild 313 Posted September 2, 2012 Dmr is a two shot body shot, semi auto so it doesn't matter nvg makes it pretty nice so take the dmr aiming takes some getting used to though
The Veg Man 3 Posted September 2, 2012 Take the DMR since ammo is much more common than m107 or as50 nato rounds :thumbsup:Plus the DMR rate of fire is pretty rapid ;)
Precious 0 Posted September 2, 2012 Does the first shot knock out? So that I wont have any problems to hit him after the 1st shot?
Zeppa 562 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) Go for the DMR.Can be used with nvg:s and its fast (CloseQuarters). 1 shot head, at least 2 body.It is possible to knock out with 1 shot, not always. Edited September 2, 2012 by Zeppa

bluecrackers 175 Posted September 2, 2012 DMR might as well be 1 shot, at 8000 blood dmg per shot it can knock someone out pretty easily. That combined with the massive blood loss and you're looking at 10000+ dmg.
Charlotte (DayZ) 6 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) Kinda depends on what you do...If you play on night time servers or take billions of shots, DMR. (If you're going to sit still sniping at night, you'll have to watch your heat.)I prefer as50 (if I'm sniping and have access to one), but I also like to play on day time servers & usually only take 1 shot at a player with it.edit: if you have room, throw the other in your backpack. Then test both out and see which you prefer. Edited September 2, 2012 by Charlotte
