I finally found a set of nvg's last night, after a hacker nuked me and many others last weekend, and thought to myself "log off, mission complete", but seeing that i needed food i thought I'd cook some raw meat in the woods first. Just as my steaks were finished a guy appeared in front of me with a hatchet.. "fuck" i thought.. i went to d/c but suddenly *CHOP!* my guy gets knocked out. "Nooo!" I think/say/shout! The menu ui is now locked down. I then hear the hacker laugh and say come with me, he then teleports me and the entire server to a location and nukes the player.

Why didn't i log out and eat next time.. nvg's gone again.

Unlucky sod, oh well.. NVGs are for young lads anyway, meanwhile the military flashlight or just the normal flashlight are for men. Playing at a night server with no light from the moon sure makes the immersion of fear overwhelming, but at the same time thrilling. You should try it some time

If you hit ALT+F4 in that situation I would think that would still work, even if the menu is disable for some reason.

I've been to the NWAF twice. Both times i would have decent loot and I finish up in the industrial area. Whenever I reach that area, I hear a helo flying in. The first time I thought they were gunna pick me up, they mowed me down with LMG fire. The second time, I heard it and knew better. I tried to hide, but they mowed me down, too.

I'm done with NWAF.

I like to play on night servers for the suspense but have found snipers rocking the DMR with nvg's give me a big disadvantage. I don't agree that nvg's are for young lads (nor would i imagine the 100's of thousands of other players that use them). You're entitled to your opinion obviously, but I don't agree with you. I do have a military flash light and normal one, plus a Glock 17 w/ tact-light. I still think nvg's are a useful tool to have on night servers.

alt+F4 doesn't work on my pc. To d/c I either have to esc+abort or alt+tab + right-click close Arma2. <_<

I prefer Stary tbh. Also, no one's crying about anything.. so don't bother lower the tone of the thread by berating others. cheers.

crying off != crying. wasn't berating you, was highlighting that you may have made a rash choice based on two unlucky incidents.

stary is far more dangerous, on the average server, than the airfield.

I dont understand hackers... Where is the fun in this porting people to one spot in the middle of the air and killing them?

Well considering the servers had low pops, like 6 each, and the fact that 3 of them were in the chopper was unlikely. But it was my first 2 times, so it's just leaving a bad impression.

I just think they do it because they can. If there's ever a way to do things in a game that weren't intended, people will do it.
