Heffe (DayZ) 0 Posted September 2, 2012 My problem is when I go to the player profile area to change/make a new profile/name is that the profile box is empty. No current profiles show in there. My name in game shows up as "My PC", and sometimes "player 1", however as I said, neither of those profiles show in the player profile box, I can not edit it. When I attempt to make a new profile to change the name that way, I can not edit the "player 1" in the box, it lets me change the face and other options, but not the name, and even if i try to save that, the profile still never shows up in the player profile area. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Legacy (DayZ) 1091 Posted September 2, 2012 It's only been a day. Are you sure you're double clicking on the name when you go to edit your profile?

terex 322 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) Try editing the folder / file name to change the name if you can't do it in game.. Not sure if that works or not, haven't ever tried it. I would just create 2-3 new profiles then exit out and try changing them where the profiles are. C:\Users\Terrex\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles is the default location for me. There is a folder for each profile name then the file with the saved settings etc..Edit: It just worked for me.. Copied over an old profile and renamed the folder / file inside. Jamal is there. Good luck. ;) Edited September 2, 2012 by terrex

I even made a documents folder so it would have a similar path as what you listed, exept with my name of course, and still no profiles show in my player profile area. Frustrating haha. Heffe (DayZ) 0 Posted September 2, 2012 No documents folder? What system are you running?Vista Ultimate 64-bit, I changed the documents folder on the start menu to be my D: drive instead of a folder on my C: drive, if that makes sense.
Heffe (DayZ) 0 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) If you look in the opened folder, you will see the 2 names that it uses, " My PC" and "Player 1", and i also made one with the name I want to use "Heffe" and put it in the folder, but it never uses that one. terex 322 Posted September 2, 2012 In those profile folders, is there a profile file? Name.Arma2OAProfile Have you tried running Arma 2 then Arma 2 OA? Or maybe verify the files?
Heffe (DayZ) 0 Posted September 2, 2012 There is no "profile folders", the 2 profiles that are used are just floating in the "program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead" folder, just loose files in there.
