shadow_moses 50 Posted September 2, 2012 All I have to do to fix it is log out and then log back in and they are gone. Might wanna try that as well.
Lewa 2 Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) The only thing that does fix Artifacts for me, is to "flush" the Video memory.Basically, if you have Artifacts, press the "Shift" key, (hold it) and then press the minus key on the Numpad. After that, release both keys at the same time and type "flush" on your keyboard. (without the " ")The Screen gets black for a few seconds. This fixes the artifacts in the most cases for me. If it doesn't work, try to use this Method again. (Sometimes i must do it 2-3 times)The "SceneComplexity" method may work, but it also reduces the Detail of the World around you by a huge amount. malau (DayZ) 36 Posted September 2, 2012 Lowering Scene complexity will help IF you have a Gfx Card that is teetering on the edge of being able to run it - ie anything with 512mb.Everyone else with a 1gb (or 2gb card) should be able to eat Arma 2's best and ask for more.As was said elsewhere in here, despite what DRH said, the problem cannot be the Arma engine losing the floating point because of scene complexity, because if you play A2OA then you have maybe 30+ tanks onscreen at one time plus several aircraft, x hundred AI (all of which drop their weapons when they die) and local wildlife. All of this is much more intensive and complex than anything DayZ needs to render.

TheDesigner 1197 Posted September 3, 2012 ...naaaah. You can just reboot ArmA 2 for a temporary 10 minute fix. Rather do that than edit my ArmA 2 files. I shouldn't have to screw around with my ArmA 2 files to play DayZ.

razorman 15 Posted September 5, 2012 Wierd, since i upgraded from a 285GTX to a 670GTX i get 0 artifacts or graphics bugs at all, none, nada, 0.perhaps this whole thing is driver/card related after all & not the game?My buddy who uses a 550ti gets them until he uses the "flush" command, then his are gone too. prestondemaria@gmail.com 65 Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks for the input! I personally haven't tried flushing. Usually changing the sceneComplexity works for me.
