when downloading COMBINED OPS from steam...do i have to

Download both arma2 and OA? the thing is, i have paused ARM2 because doing it at the same time as OA slows it down, and it is slow enuff, i have a RETAIL version of ARMA2 wich is now installed, so will that be ok or do i HAVE to download ARMA2 from steam as well??

A retail copy of Arma2 is fine, so long as you have it updated completely. Just download operation arrowhead and you should be fine.

ok. im downloading ARMA2 free patch 1.11 from the link in the dayz installer wiki, that going to be ok? i was only worried because i techinicly have not donwloaded the FULL combined ops pack and did not know if it would work....do you happen to know of any good installer video walkthroughs? lol ones that are simple and dont use too many technical terms, a noob walkthru basicly?
