First Double Murder

So yesterday I was playing solo on a low pop server that I had a few tents set up on, had some decent gear already L85, M107, PDW bit of medical supplies etc, I had been running around searching for downed helis most of the time in the hopes of finding NVG's etc (thats where i got my L85 & M107 from finding 2 helis a couple days ago). So I decide to head to NWAF and hit the barracks hoping to find NVG's/Rangefinder etc or maybe even a coyote backpack if I was lucky.

I head towards the south barracks first, finding nothing worthwhile, so circle around the airfield to come into the north barracks from the woods north of the airfield, as I get close to the barracks I hear what I thought was a vehicle, I take cover in the trees and hold for a moment trying to work out what this noise was, then I hear gunfire coming from the south barracks, I instantly shit myself and find better cover, as I am doing this I get confirmation that the noise I thought was a vehicle, was most definitely a vehicle as it was driving closer towards me honking its horn, although I couldn't actually see it at this point, now they must have known someone else was at the airfield as I was still close enough to the barracks to have the zombies spawned, the vehicle (turned out to be a URAL) had gotten really close to the north barracks and someone had gotten out and started shooting the zombies at the barracks, I still had not actually seen any players or the vehicle at this point but could hear alot of gunfire and the vehicle honking its horn, presumably to get the attention of whoever was at the barracks, at this point I was absolutely shiting bricks as I had no idea how many people was there as the tension and adrenaline had gotten to me and I didn't even think to press P and check how many people were on the server.

I finally get to see the vehicle as it pulls up right next to the barracks, drops 1 guy off and starts backing up and running over the zombies continually honking the horn which was freaking me out , so once they had killed most of the zombies they park the truck and the ghillie suited driver gets out and stands at the front of the vehicle, in a perfect position for me to put a few rounds in his face, I hesitate as I don't know were the second guy is and the driver moves behind the vehicle breaking my line of sight, he then gets back in the vehicle and it seems the second guy did too as I hear the doors slam twice, now I'm thinking "fuck I missed my chance to smoke these dudes", although I really didn't want to engage them I was only there for some gear and was not really looking for a firefight, but the prospect of stealing a URAL (most likely stacked full of gear) and taking whatever good gear these guys might be carrying was oh so tempting, so I wait to see what they are doing, and they both get back out of the vehicle, the ghillie suited driver again walks to the front of the vehicle and stops in an almost perfect position for me to take the shot, so I do, I fire a few rounds killing him instantly, now I still had no visual on the second guy when I engaged but seems luck was on my side as almost the second the first guy went down the second ran around the front of the truck right into my crosshairs so I fired instantly, just as the rounds were hitting him I'm almost certain I heard him shout "stop" but by that point is was too late to stop anything, for a moment I felt bad as they had shown no hostile intent towards me, infact driving around honking the horn, I think they were trying to get my atention, maybe they were friendly maybe they weren't but I still felt a little guilty for killing them, I think it was just the way the second guy said "stop" as he died was what got me.

So I went over to check there bodies, ghillie suited guy has a coyote backpack and NVG's (Result!), nothing else caught my attention but I could have missed something as the adrenaline was pumping at this stage, checked the second guy, had an alice pack M14 and another pair of NVG's (fuck yea!) so I grab the NVG's and the coyote backpack jump in there truck and drive away, and as I was driving away any feeling of guilt was gone and I just felt amazing having gotten gear I was looking for but not expecting to find, and also getting a URAL full of gear!

Also as I was driving away I check P for the first time during this encounter and realise that myself and these 2 guys I killed were the only people on the server at the time.

To those 2 guys, if you were friendly you should have used direct com earlier and not as my rounds were hitting your face, I wouldn't have engaged if you showed yourself to be friendly, but as it was I felt threatened by your presence and in a 2 vs 1 situation I am taking no chances, plus the URAL was too temping!

Now this was easily the most tense 15-20mins of gaming in my life, and I have been gaming for close to 20 years, I realise this had been abit of a wall of text but I felt the need to share my experience!

TL:DR - Ran into 2 guys at the NWAF, shot them both and jacked there truck full of gear!
