debug plains-of-death?

Recommended Posts

so me and a friend randomly got ported to waaaaaaay north west. we were on different servers nowhere near eachother when it happened. we went so far that it would take over an hour of running just to reach the edge of the north western corner of the map.

saw random people and npcs there just like you would in debug forest

anyone else experience this?

I've had it 3 times on my current player. Twice I was only about 4000m away so it wasn't bad - maybe 15 minute run.

Once, however, I was 22465m N/NW. I watched an entire movie and still wasn't home. Thankfully I had just refreshed food/water or I would have died on the way back.

Yay i just spawned there too.. if you scroll all the way out and go all the way to the top left corner, thats where you spawn. My drink is red and I have only 3 water on me, can I make it back?

3 water should be enough. I think you get about 10000m per drink/eat but that's just a really rough guess.

Far be it for me to ever suggest that one exploit a bug, but one might mention that occasionally logging out/back in resets hunger and thirst. One might additionally suggest that this is one scenario in which exploiting such might not be so bad... although, fair warning, once I was half way back and disconnected and when I relogged I was right back where I started and had to do the whole run again.
