Host Altitude Support

a copy of my ticket in progress with host altitude reguarding my dedicated server with them

Was messing around with some stuff and I reset the windows firewall to default settings and now cannot connect via RDP. Can you guys allow RDP on the windows firewall for me... thanks. Also I changed the password for the administrator acc, not sure if you will need it or not to login. If so its the same password backwards.

Just wondering what the status of the problem is, its been over 12 hours and have not heard anything yet.

It's been about 19 hours now, just want to get a reply with an ETA so I don't have to keep refreshing this page every hour. I'm not angry because I'm the one that brought it down, I just would like it to get it back up as soon as you can do it, thanks.

I wonder if they read the dayz forums more than their own ticketing system... its been about 21 hours now and i havnt gotten a response yet.

now 25+ hours... still no reply from support

host altitude sells the cheapest dedicated servers for the specs you get, so im ok with the slow support...just want my server back online :(

$260.50 on hbfservers for the same setup I have on host altitude, im only paying $169 there

What is it that you have at the moment?

51 hours and my server is still inaccessible.

I can fix this for you, I'll need your root password. I tried typing your password we have saved backwards but it doesn't seem to work.

recieved this msg about 12 hours ago and i immediatly replied back with the info he needed... no response since

just purchased a dedicated server from hfbservers.com ... hopefully their support is faster

Had pretty much the same experience with HA unfortunately.

Then they shut our node down for non-payment, even though we'd paid two months in advance and they owed us a free month for "poor service".

Decided that if we could find a better host before HA responded to the shut down inquiry which had links to our own payment invoices from their records in it, we'd just say to hell with it and write off the money.

My current host responds to support inquiries within minutes during business hours and within an hour outside of them. We pay a little more than we were paying at HA, and to be honest, I don't mind at all. As they say, you buy cheap, you get cheap.

I won't give my current providers name here because I don't want to seem to be defaming HA in favor of them. All I can say is next time you get a server, try having an extended sales inquiry conversation with them before actually committing to service. If they won't take a lot of time to answer your questions in depth and at length on a sales inquiry, they're even less likely to spend much time addressing your issues and concerns once they have your money.

Regardless I'm quite happy with my host and its not HFB or Vilayer or HA, and I'm pretty happy about that.
