It's hard enough as it is to find a working server on dayz, and now it's much harder due to the different version of dayz being run. Not only that but the different version of Arma now as well with the beta patch.

Why doesn't the community just choose one thing and stick to it?

They have. Not there fault other server admins are lazy and don't upgrade.I believe the Devs are planning on blocking access to the hive for older version servers soon.
