Game crashes after 3/4 seconds of playing??

Everything was fine up until yesterday..I've been playing this game for 2 months maybe a bit more and apart from the occasional ''Artifact'' everything was fine.

I was playing with a friend (we were looting Stary Sobor) and suddenly my game crashes.As I reconnect,someone kills me.My friend managed to kill the guy who killed me and I start to create a new character.

I spawned in Cherno and after 2/3 seconds of moving around my game crashes again (I am unable to move and the sound starts looping). I assumed it was the Artifacts' fault.

Ever since, I crash in every server I join after playing for 3/4 seconds.

I have tried restarting my computer, Arma2 and Steam.I have also downgraded my current Arma2 patch to an older version and upgrading it back to the latest patch.I have even reinstalled Arma2 but still no improvement.

Help would be appreciated, this is my favorite game by far and I would love to keep on playing it :(

Edit:I found out that playing Arma2 in single player also crashes me after 3 seconds of playing :(

Try installing your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, perhaps reinstall the game.

I tried installing them but everything got so much worse.My screen's quality was horrible and the desktop icons were huge so i had to reverse it :(

did you reboot your pc after installing new drivers?

Thanks for trying to help but I have figured out the problem in my in-game settings apparently i had disabled something i shouldn't have.After messing around with the settings for a while i got it to work :)
