In-game Chat program?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has already been answered, if so...please refer me to the existing thread for this subject. Didn't have time to check the wole site first...did do a search.

I've been playing with one other person and we've been using Steam voice chat...but now there's two or three others that are joining our group...so we need a better way to do this. I know many people use Skype...but I wanted to know what others use and why. Thanks.

For an organized group, something like Teamspeak can be useful. However, if you stick together most of the time, you could manage by just using the game's built-in voice chat: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7954-voice-text-communication/

We use skype as it's readily available but are probably looking to start using teamspeak as the in-game overlay looks easier to tell who's talking :)

I have so many programs, but not all my group members are able to use certain ones, but we're all able to use Mumble, and it works in game. It also shows the list of players in the chat section in the corner of your screen, so you know who's talking. =]
