The only dayz santa i've seen was one in a helicopter searching camps and stuffing them with loot.

Ive done this twice.

I had no patients and felt like re gearing so I ran down the coast on a high pop server and upon finding a freshie, I tell him to stop and I give him all my stuff and wander off... They usually have no idea what to say.
