Cnektpp 5 Posted August 31, 2012 I heard the zombies will be able to run in buildings in the standalone game so this made me think. The zombies can be really hard to shoot in the head while agro'd so make them more realistic and make then run in a sort of straight line and not zig zag all over the place. Also I believe the herd idea like from TWD is a good idea. One last thing it would be cool to see the walkers interact with the environment such as doing things that were in there job before they were infected (a construction worker zombie using a hammer and hitting random stuff with it) Just a few ideas anyway. Frissy 31 Posted August 31, 2012 You realise they do run in a straight line?
Bobcomss 189 Posted August 31, 2012 Once in a building/enclosed area (hangers for example) they tend to run straight at me, once they get into a chase they will run straight....it's us...the players zig zagging that causes them to follow our path :)
fatherjohn 143 Posted August 31, 2012 i don't know. i've seen them take some weird routes to get to me, and all I did was run straight from them, turn around and try to shoot.
VSnares 17 Posted August 31, 2012 Rocket said something about how he wanted to implement a kind of "decay" system where older spawned infected would be slower and "more stupid" than freshly spawned infected who just sprint straight for your ass and tear you up. Not the same idea you had, but just some food for thought.
