Howard_Ford 1 Posted August 31, 2012 Ok, so I spawn near the airfield.Loot a few places, find a hatchet and a knife, some bandages and painkillers.Head to the airfield.Strange feeling that I'm being watched.Kill a sheep, gut it, take meat.Head into airfield tower.Did I hear footsteps?Walk down stairs.Face to face with bandit!Panic!Repeatedly hit bandit with Hatchet.Bandage self.Loot bandit.LikeABause.jpgThis guy shot me with 12gauge pellets, it fractured my leg and took off 6000 blood. But I killed him with repeated hatchet blows. I brought an axe to a gun fight and won!I got some cooked meat, beans, a shotgun (with flashlight), a revolver, map, binoculars, guillie suit and alice bag from this guy. Plus a load of other sweet stuff.Unfortunately he must of been in communication with guys near to the airfield as the second I finished looking him and stepped outside I was sniped. I should have aborted there and then. Silly me.Anyway I thought you would all like to hear this, I love the way that DayZ can generate so many interesting events! kik 8 Posted August 31, 2012 Today i came across a guy near elektro north fire station. had an alice pack and nothing else.I had a hatchet and assorted junk.Against better judgement i sent him on his way.5 minutes later sure enough he came back with a lee and started to take badly aimed potshots.So i chased him down taunted him and told i was going to cut him,a good few blows without him hitting me once and he was dead..I'm really done with being nice now. I ignore him, and hope that he relizes i'm unarmed and no threat.. well that starts a hilarious 10 minute chase through electro as he tries to shoot me and i circle straff him telling him he should be happy I didn't have an axe. eventualy i bleed down to 3k and pass out. GG.I respawn outside electro and find an axe in a barn. Sweet revenge time. I get sight running into the fire station and follow. He goes up the tower. I wait in the main room edged up along the wall, axe at the ready. As soon as his head pops out of the stairwell I club him once with the axe. He spins on me and starts to fire, but I break his legs. I circled around him to line up a kill and the ass hole alt+f4ed.Since then i've repeated this tactic against better armed individuals. Catch them in the head or legs and its GG.
