Anarchyihdi 151 Posted August 30, 2012 This Mod is only in Alpha, of course it has glitches, play ANY GAME in its Alpha phase and see what your experience is like, i don't know about all of you but i absolutely love this mod and im glad i found it, apart from my car disappearing when i log back in to the server, it can only get better.Sorry, just fed up of these people saying "this mod sucks because of this, and that, and this" <-- don't play it then bud, or maybe.. play it properly, i play it as if its real, and my character hasn't died yet.Take it easy DayZ Members. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Maxgor 2314 Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) There are a surprising amount of people who apparently weren't paying attention to the articles or videos discussing the game that got them interested in DayZ. Alphas are functional messes, usually to test out new features, work out serious problems, and are not meant to be extremely playable. Betas are where the more playable game part comes in and begins to work out kinks in the already set in stone mechanics, tweaking out the bugs and glitches. We aren't even talking about a full realized game here, we are talking about alot of mechanics and ideas that are hacked into the base game to make them work, which would create alot more conflicts than in a standalone game, such as what DayZ is becoming. slboris 5 Posted August 30, 2012 I play for "real" as well mate but then i got :teleportedjason axe murderd turn into a cow nuked teleported 200000 meters away to the ocean with no way to respawn ( thank god for stupied glitches ie:install 2.4 and wholla u on the coast ) and i can go on and on ... I used to have mad love for this game but thos last couple of patches that fixed nothing but made thing much much worse and the lack of communicationfrom the DayZ team.Stand alone isnt getting my money no matter how much it gona cost . OjigO 3 Posted August 30, 2012 I understand with the glitches and everything yeah its alpha but my main concern will be the hackers (aka. scripters) I worry for this game even in the beta stages. Oh and maybe Pm which severs u are playing "for real " on cuse i cant play 20 min without running into script skiddisAll i thought when i read that was "YOU WAS A COW?! im jelly" lol :P but for real, not really ran into hackers much, only a couple times and i managed to escape the situation quick enough :) im still trying to find a decent server, currently just logging into which ever one is at the top of the list for a good 5 hour sessions :)To the rest of you, good to see you all realize its a Alpha to!
