Hacker teleported me 20km into the sea

Hmmmm if you dont want to die i say start swimming and leave it on autorun (the steam overlay trick) and comeback later. I have no clue how long would it take to swim 20kms. But considering the map is almost 16kms side to side i say it will take a while.

Another option is get the hacker to teleport ya back lol but yea good luck with that one.

I'm sorry, but this made me lol. I'd suggest getting one of your friends (preferably freshly spawned) to scour the coast for a boat for you. They then to be around Solnichniy, or at least they are for me.

The same thing happened to me three days ago. I'm not sure how far I was from the coast, but I could barely see the outlines of the land at the horizon. I think I swam for about 1 hour and just when I was hoping that hunger and thirst might kill me, I hit the coast near Balota (actually, it took me at least 10 minutes to get to the coast after I saw the first dark shadows in the distance). My temperature had dropped so low that I got an infection, I was coughing, shaking and slowly loosing blood, I was hungry and thirsty, but I was alive. I managed to find food, water, a heatpack and even some antibiotics in a military tent in Cherno. But my blood was so low that I constantly fell unconscious and as I was almost blindly running through Cherno, desperately trying to find something to eat or hunting equipment, someone shot me.

Long story short: If you can see the outlines of the mountains, just try swimming towards the coast. I think it takes 1 to 1.5 hours and in the worst case, you'll just starve to death (but at least you'll be able to start a new game at the coast). Protip: Put something heavy on your W key so that you keep going without having to spent all the time in front of your computer.

I would appreciate getting shot. Too bad the chances of someone coming by is like <0.1%. :(

DayZ is open for about 1 hour now. Wonder how long it will take to starve to death...

Sorry for posting 3 times in a row, but I found a way to press the respawn button.

This might be useful to others, so I post it here:

I minimized DayZ (Tab+Alt) and then went to fullscreen again. If you hit the escape button right after that, the respawn function

is available again (for about 2 secs).
